Legacy Grants for
Student Health
We are delighted to announce that $221,050 in Legacy Grants for Student Health has been awarded for the 2024-2025 academic year.
AcruxKC's invitation-only Legacy Grants for Student Health (LGSH) aim to enhance the health of school communities by supporting programs and purchases that directly address students' physical and mental health needs. These grants are awarded to districts and schools with significant free or reduced-cost school lunch enrollment.
In 2024, AcruxKC awarded its seventh round of Legacy Grants for Student Health, distributing a total of $221,050. Schools and districts could request funding across five categories: asthma assessment and treatment supplies; health screening equipment; emergency response training and supplies; mental health intervention training; and disease mitigation equipment and supplies.
Nearly 100,000 students, faculty, and administrators across the region are expected to benefit from these investments. Since its launch in 2017, the LGSH program has invested over $1.5 million into area schools.
