Legacy Grants for Student Health: Focusing on Student Wellness!

On September 12th, AcruxKC hosted the annual Legacy Grants for Student Health breakfast at Broadmoor Bistro, a student-operated restaurant in the Shawnee Mission School District. The event celebrated the outstanding progress made through our invitation-only Legacy Grants while also serving as an essential platform for discussion and collaboration around student health and wellness.

We proudly acknowledged the accomplishments of partner schools and districts, recognizing how these grants have effectively met critical health needs. These efforts have enhanced the well-being and educational experiences of students throughout the Kansas City region, making a tangible difference in their lives.

The breakfast also fostered a unique networking environment where nurses, administrators, and grant recipients shared challenges, successes, and innovative approaches. Conversations focused on the transformative impact of collective efforts to improve student wellness and learning outcomes.
